Dear Shepherdstown families interested in Waldorf,
Happy Hanukkah time!
I have gotten the impression that everyone has been and is too busy these days before Christmas to have another event to schedule and prepare for.
Because we have heard of the wariness of having gatherings during the holidays and because of the surrounding areas' warnings against letting down our guard and getting together this December, I am proposing that we postpone our Winter Spiral until the day after New Year's.
As I did hear from a handful of families, I wanted to continue with our plans to hold this beautiful event. However, many jurisdictions are experiencing a spike in Corona virus cases, in the weeks before Christmas.
I hope the new date of Saturday, January 2, 2021 makes it easier for more families to participate. We don't know the weather forecast yet, but it's likely to be cold and dark. Having a light-filled spiral will certainly warm our hearts in the final days after Christmas.
Please let me know your thoughts about this and whether you can make it--now, three weeks later.
Wishing you a warm, satisfying, and fragrant holiday!
